Wooden western bar stools would then be upholstered with that cowhide leather, using metal round top tacks, which would provide a look of a western bar stool strongly resembling a horse saddle. Sometimes, a saddle horn would be added to one side of the bar seat to complete such horse saddle bar stool.

When you are picking a black leather bar stool, you know quite well that you want elegance, sharp looks, and you are probably either wanting to match a sharp, metallic look of your kitchen and bar with a black leather and chrome finish bar stool, or you are wanting to accentuate the soft, yet soothing and relaxed feeling of a warm-colored, or wooden finish kitchen.

Choosing the right material can be a little tricky when it comes to white bar stools. Metals are more durable and can last longer than wood or leather stools. However, they might not be as comfortable, and depending if you are purchasing more modern looking stools, the price for metal can be more expensive. The important thing to do is measure how much money you are willing to spend on your bar equipment. If you think spending a little extra money on a more durable material is worth it, than you should go that route. If you do not think your stools are going to be used often, than spending less money makes sense.

Having a crowded patio during patio parties is really a headache, and especially when it suddenly rains and all your guests who are frolicking in the garden would need to seek shelter in the patio itself. For some people, the logical solution to this issue is to simply extend the patio. That would be the perfect solution if you are a millionaire with ample amount of money at your disposal. However, it is not the most pragmatic solution. Why extend your patio and spend unnecessary money when you can have more space in your patio if you have the right patio bar stools.

Features - Generally speaking, when you are looking to purchase a bar stool, the features and how adjustable the stool will be is usually is not the first concern that comes to mind. Although a bar stool does not need to come with the same high level of adjustability you would look for in a regular office chair, there are some features that may be desired for your home. The first feature that any bar stool should have is a footrest; your feet will need a spot to rest with the floor being inaccessible at that height. A footrest will allow you to sit more comfortably on the stool and keep your body in a natural position.

Shopping for new furniture can be an incredibly fun experience as well as an extremely frustrating one. The idea of completely re-doing a room is exciting and most people enjoy the shopping experience, but since you never quite know how a piece is going to look in a room until you actually see it there and many people often want furniture that is out of their price range, the buying experience can be frustrating, as well. If you are heading out on a junket to purchase one, keep the following tips in mind before you sign on the dotted line.

Some modern style saddle counter stools have their seat shaped in a downward curve, resembling the curvature of the saddle. Despite the rectangular shape of the "floor plan" of the seat, you will be able to sit on the chair looking forward, as if riding, and straddling the chair with your legs, or you will be able to sit sideways, with your legs together, and your behind safely seated in the curve of the saddle seat.

Others have their "saddle" made of straight, flat wood, which might be a type of seat you are more used to.

Although there is no denying that today's modern stools are beautiful, elegant and durable, the number one reason why people choose bar stools over other seating options is versatility. The fact that you can easily grab one, or sometimes even two, bar stools and take them from room to room, including outdoors on the patio or balcony, and have them look great in any surrounding is what makes them such an attractive purchase. When you are out pricing the perfect bar stools, you want to keep this in mind. However, imagining how a piece of furniture will look in multiple locations at once can be almost impossible. Try bringing along full colour photographs of the exact location where your new bar stools will be located. Make sure you measure out all of the areas you are looking to use the bar stools in so you know that you'll always have space. Try lifting the bar stools you are interested in and make sure you ask about the materials they are made out of. If you can find the bar stool that look great in casual and formal occasions, you can move on to step two.
